Micros Scooters Are The Most Fun You Can Have On Two Feet
There are not many of us that grew up without bringing with them the memory of having a scooter as a child. Hours upon hours of fun can be had tearing back and fore and no doubt a few bumps and scratches along the way. Things haven’t changed a great deal when it comes to scooters but the new micros scooters are more popular now than they ever have been.
Back near the end of the nineties there was a man from Switzerland named Wim Ouboter that instigated the scooters rebirth with a modern design. Soon, children everywhere were learning about the fun to be had on two wheels just like their parents had years before them. In no time at all the new design was all over Europe and it even made it to the states where it was called the ‘Razor’.
The scooter revival has not been limited to children as adults have started to relive a little of their youth. Of course, the unit designed for adults is much stronger and durable than the child’s version. It’s a good job that plenty of protective gear is available to compliment the scooters because it seems like you fall a lot harder as you age.
There are helmets, knee and elbow pads that surely prevent a huge number accidents becoming more serious than they need to be. These safety accessories are a good precaution but overall, these scooters are a relatively safe product. The danger comes when the limits of the products capability is tested which is always going to happen.
The X-Games is a perfect example of people defying death for fun and getting away with it. These scooters have even found their way to this massive show and you can find videos of their stunts all over the internet. It is probably down to their lightweight design and the speed at which they can travel that they have been used for stunt riding.
There are many more reasons that can be attributed to the new success of this old favourite. The fact that it has one many awards has to go some way to boosting its popularity. In 2009 it was received two major accolades the first was a Gold award for overall best toy from Right Start in the best toys awards. The second was a silver award for The Good Toy Guide for Good Toy Awards that year. I was rated because of its ability to increase children’s hand to eye coordination, gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
There are lots of celebrities too that have been photographed in newspapers and magazines like OK with their children and scooter. That alone is bound to increase the sales figures of any toy manufacturer no matter how good the toy is.
What is blatantly obvious is that the micros scooters are a must have for any child and while you’re at it, you might think about getting your own. Just make sure you practice before the kids see you on it as you don’t want them showing you up. After all, you were scooting long before they were even thought of.
